Frozen Italian Blue Cheese

Italian Blue Cheese: IQF crumbs and slices from Italian DOP Gorgonzola Cheese

Discover Alifood high-quality selection of frozen Italian Blue Cheese. Italian Blue Cheese, or Gorgonzola is a fresh and a very creamy cheese, the color of buttermilk, with greenish-blue veining and a fat content of 48%. Originally made only in the town of Gorgonzola, the cheese is now produced in Lombardy and in Piedmont. Italian Blue Cheese flavor can range from very mild (dolce) to extremely aromatic and powerful (piccante). Gorgonzola is produced by making alternate layers of hot and cold curds. The difference in temperature causes the layers to separate, leaving air pockets in which the mold grows. The cheeses are matured from three to five months; the longer it is aged, the stronger the flavor. Available in IQF Crumbs or Frozen Slices; choose your format and taste the original frozen Italian Blue Cheese.
